Groups @ Express
Express YourselfExpress Yourself provides a space for children on the autistic spectrum to interact and connect with others in a fun, supportive environment. The group is run by one of our therapists and aims to meet the specific and unique social and emotional needs of autistic children using creative tools such as drama, puppetry, art, music and storytelling.
Our clubs run weekly at Express during term time & will have a maximum of 6 places per group. SIBs @ ExpressSIBs@Express is a group for children who have a brother or sister with additional needs to come together, make new friends and have a space to share their feelings in an understanding and supportive environment.
The group is run by one of our therapists. The club runs weekly at Express during term time & will have a maximum of 8 places in the group. Email jen@expresscic.org.uk Drama@ExpressDrama@Express is a club for children and young people on the autistic spectrum. It is a great way to develop friendships, social skills and improve self esteem in a naturally fun and supportive environment.
Our drama club is run by a qualified drama therapist with co-facilitators. Spaces are limited so please do email us as soon as possible to register your interest. The club runs weekly on Mondays at The CornerHOUSE in Surbiton during term time and will have a maximum of 10-12 places in the group. Email drama@expresscic.org.uk |
Girls GroupExpress Girls Group is a weekly meet up opportunity for girls on the autistic spectrum aged 8-11.
The group is run by one of our therapists, who uses their creative skills and experience of working with young people to create fun, creative and inclusive sessions for the girls who join. The club runs weekly at Express during term time & will have a maximum of 8 places in the group. Email jen@expresscic.org.uk Buds@ExpressBuds@Express is a small structured Parent/Carer & Child group for autistic preschoolers, including those who may not yet have a diagnosis. Activities are based on the highly-regarded Attention Autism programme, focusing on attention, communication & play development through clear structure, engaging activities & plenty of sparkle!
The group is led by Sue Goldman, an experienced Specialist Teacher (Autism) & Early Years Professional. Sessions run for 1 hour on Wednesday mornings at Express for blocks of 5 weeks each half-term & continue throughout the school year. www.suegoldman.co.uk/buds |
Costs of groups are heavily subsidised but we do have to pass on some of the cost.
