Independent Travel Training

“Achieving for Children offers an Independent Travel Training (ITT) service for young people who need some support in accessing public transport. This service is available to young people currently using special educational needs and disability (SEND) transport. We believe it's important to prepare young people for the future and help them access local communities independently via public transport.

Although the AFC ITT service is only available for young people who use SEND Transport, the workshop is also suitable for parent/carers who want to learn how they can support their young person to travel independently.

This training will be delivered by two members of the Independent Travel Training Team. The workshop where we will discuss the benefits of the training and how we work with individuals, we will also offer our experience of working within the Borough for the past two years.
