Testimonials
Express CIC has been a lifeline for my our family. It has connected me with countless other parents who are facing similar struggles. It also offers services for parents, carers and young people which really help fill a gap in the community for autistic young people and their families.

Express CIC is a wonderful organisation which has enriched my young adult autistic son’s life in so many ways including excellent activities and peer support just not on offer for young people in other charities.

My granddaughter is so happy attending the club every fortnight. She has no friends at school. No one speaks to her, not that she seems bothered it. But it bothers me! I think she needs friends. When she leaves on a Saturday lunchtime, she is absolutely full of it. All what she’s done, games she’s played with everyone. Conversations she's had. What’s more, the staff listen to her. I don’t think they have much choice when she's on a roll! She said to me only today, ‘ I can’t wait to see the staff next time, because I gave them homework to do, and the nice thing is, I know they will’ How kind of them to interact with her the way they do.

Brilliant organisation! Fantastic staff!

A fantastic local supportive charity working with parents and supporting children. Run by two incredible ladies.

Express CIC is an essential part of support for families with autistic children and young people in Kingston. When my son got his diagnosis they helped me over the phone as they understood what I was going through. Through the charity I received training about autism and they also provided drama activities for my son to help him build new social connections. Express CIC also offers counselling services to both autistic children and young people and their parents to provide a crucial safe space to discuss feelings. This helps families to feel part of a community and not so isolated and helps parents and carers from becoming overwhelmed. Express CIC have recently started a club for film production to give autistic young people an opportunity they might not have otherwise. They also run support groups for mums and a separate one for dads and for carers of a child with PDA. They are a fantastic organisation and their services and voice are important for the SENd community in Kingston.

As a Family Support Worker with Children's Services, they are always my first recommendation for families seeking guidance. Their courses, one-to-one support, and parenting resources make a significant difference in helping parents navigate challenges and build confidence.

When I was desperate and felt isolated and I found CIC Express I suddenly felt hope. The founders of CIC Express are inspirational and the work that CIC Express do is profoundly important to me and so many families with similar struggles. They are family to me.

Express CIC offers valuable services to the whole family. Their therapeutic support is innovative in the way it offers outreach support to children who would otherwise be unable to access support.

My son was given a diagnosis of Autism by the NHS and then sent away with no support. Organisations like these are indispensable to families who are left to cope living with an Autistic child and offer support to the child themselves.

Express is a fantastic organisation offering much needed services and support to the local community!

Express are always there to provide support when needed. This is so important as consistency is key and it means that there is always a helping hand when things go wrong. They provide a lifeline especially when there is nowhere and no one else to turn to. My family will always be grateful to Express CIC.

Express CIC has been providing support and signposting families and carers to useful resources for as long as we have known about them and before! From the time that we became aware that our son was on the spectrum they were there to hear us and validate how we felt. Despite there being so little support in our borough in the form of essential services for people with autism and their families, Express has tried valiantly to fill the gaps.

Express fill a much needed role in the support of autistic children, young people, and their families. They give opportunities for social development, creative development and emotional wellbeing of this client group, and essential emotional support to parents and carers.

Express have been supportive to my family and many families who have autistic children. they really understand the complexity of supporting our neurodivergent children and provide talks, advice, peer support for us parents and clubs and groups for our children. They are constantly evolving and responding to the needs of the families they support. They are providing a lifeline for many families who are really struggling and who have nowhere else to go for support.

Great resource for my autistic young adult. Film club and social club both built her confidence in preparation for university.

Through Express I have met a wonderful tribe of friends navigating the complex world of supporting PDA children in a hostile NT world … and creating a warm safe space to explore our own late-discovered neurodivergence

The Organisation provides great support to young people their families and parents/carers. As a professional working with young people with neurodiverse needs they are an invaluable source of support to those who I work with and their families and are non judgemental and welcoming to everyone they do such great work and are an amazing small charity who need to continue in the local landscape.

Supportive, critical thinking about all the issues we confront on a daily basis. Able to share laughter and tears, successes and failures in support groups which are never judgemental.

Express has been a support through an incredibly difficult period. Our son was diagnosed during Covid and then crashed out of school in burnout for 2 years before the local authority finally offered help. My husband and I have both accessed their counselling services to help us navigate a new landscape. In addition, the What’s app groups are a true lifeline. SEND parenting can be extremely isolating and like-minded friends in your phone are such a gift. As a result of the complexities of our lives, we find it difficult to meet people in real life who understand. Express helps us to feel more connected and hopeful. Although my own son is not able to access the provisions on offer, there are numerous offerings to support ASD young people. This small charity works tirelessly to meet need and enhance the lives of ASD young people and empower them to navigate a neurotypical world.

They have been a lifesaver. It can be so tough and lonely living with a child, especially diagnosed late with autism and this group has provided the most amazing moral support and advice. Their workshops are invaluable and as a result it has given us tools to deal with our child who is now on a different path to what we expected. It is a relief to connect to a community, which they set up, to vent on really bad days and be given hope by others going through the same journey.

Express CIC represent the local autistic community with a determined and dogged resilience. They offer a wide range of support that pivots according to needs. Despite limited resources they fill an enormous need and gap in support, learning and information for children, young people and their families. More power to them.
