Suicide and Self-Harm Awareness (at Express) for Parents and Carers of Neurodivergent Children over 16

Delivered by Mind, this session is tailored for parents of neurodivergent children over 16 (and adult children) who want to gain a better understanding of the topic of self-harm and suicide. 

This session aims to:

•     Increase parents and carers’ understanding of self-harm and suicide, including myth-busting.

•     Provide guidance around the language to use when talking about suicide.

•     Build confidence in recognising when a child might be struggling, and in starting conversations about self-harm and suicide.

•     Highlight practical resources and sources of support for parents, carers and young people.
