Targeted, easy accessible and relevant support for the whole family !

Express have given so much help during difficult times when caring for my son. They organise groups and support that is developed from listening to the parents they help. They have connected me with others who are in similar situations and it’s been a lifeline

Express CIC is a pillar of support for parents of autistic children like myself, providing invaluable and ongoing support, information and care. I’m so unbelievably grateful this organisation exits and want it to be recognised for the value it adds to our community. Thank you!

Express have been invaluable in supporting us as a family, with mental health support and social engagement for my daughter. The parent support has been a life line for me.

Although not an active participant in the various WhatsApp groups, I daily read all of the posts to help we work with my son, who has an EHCP and has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD. This helps me work with my son and also supports my mental wellbeing.

Express CIC’s PDA support group has been an absolute lifeline and sanity check since my son’s diagnosis 18 mths ago. The staff make a real difference to parent ls’ and carers’ lives on a daily basis!

Since 2012, when they started, me and my family have been avidly supporting Express CIC and all they represent. They've been supportive towards hundreds of people and I've never heard any negative feedback towards them.

Express CIC provide a wide range of support and for me the impact has felt life saving. They enable a network that enables parents to connect, and provide support for each other that I have not seen anywhere else. The resource they provide together with their volunteers and service users, enables everyone involved to be informed and disseminate information between themselves and the wider community, to effectively help everyone to understand the needs and challenges that face neurodivergent people and how to improve things. Thank you express cic

Express CIC fills a gap in much-needed support for autistic children, young people and their families. A life-line, in fact.

The support group I joined via Express has helped me in ways I find hard to articulate. I have learned so much from the fellow mothers in the group. I’m not sure where I’d be without it. I’m so grateful for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes for the simple heartfelt reason that someone woke up one day and said let’s get together and help other families who are on this journey in life. The emotional support and knowledge sharing has been incredible. Thank you so much!!!!!

This group has been invaluable support while navigating PDA for my son

Incredible organisation doing incredible things x

My daughter’s sessions with Louisa have been invaluable. Firstly the fact that Louisa can see her at home is so helpful, not only for her which means she is in a familiar safe setting where Louisa can engage with her on projects that she is already working on, but also for me as it is one less trip I need to make taking my daughter to her various provisions.

My daughter took to Louisa immediately and has been able to share what she is struggling with and receive some practical support. She feels completely safe and understood which is imperative for her to be able to disclose, process and receive support. For instance, she had been struggling to go to sleep unless she was in bed with me. Louisa helped her look at this and manage a transition to being able to sleep in her own bed.

On occasion when there has been an acute problem between sessions, Louisa has been willing and able to offer support via email or a phone call.

Louisa has also been able to support me as a mother when I have needed advice for which I am very grateful.

They are an amazing charity serving the neurodivergent community

Because it means a lot to me and those around me

How can anyone begin to put reasons for voting. The amount of reasons are endless. Our special people need all the chances available to them to help and for society to accept that everyone has a place in this world and everybody's life matters. Everyone needs fun and an enjoyable life and if we have the chance to share our time and make people happy and confident then we shall have a better world. Let this Community Organisation help to build a safe and happy environment.

They do valuable work for the community

Express cic have been there for autistic families who have no idea where to go

My granddaughter is so happy attending the club every fortnight. She has no friends at school. No one speaks to her, not that she seems bothered it. But it bothers me! I think she needs friends. When she leaves on a Saturday lunchtime, she is absolutely full of it. All what she’s done, games she’s played with everyone. Conversations she's had. What’s more, the staff listen to her. I don’t think they have much choice when she's on a roll! She said to me only today, ‘ I can’t wait to see the staff next time, because I gave them homework to do, and the nice thing is, I know they will’ How kind of them to interact with her the way they do.

Brilliant organisation! Fantastic staff!

Express CIC do a great job working with autistic children and adults whilst supporting parents

A very creative and comprehensive range of services and activities are offered here, which must make such an improvement to

A fantastic local supportive charity working with parents and supporting children. Run by two incredible ladies.

Express CIC is an essential part of support for families with autistic children and young people in Kingston. When my son got his diagnosis they helped me over the phone as they understood what I was going through as the directors are both SENd families too. Through the charity I received training about autism and they also provided drama activities for my son to help him build new social connections. Express CIC also offers counselling services to both autistic children and young people and their parents to provide a crucial safe space to discuss feelings. This helps families to feel part of a community and not so isolated and helps parents and carers from becoming overwhelmed. Express CIC have recently started a club for film production to give autistic young people an opportunity they might not have otherwise. They also run support groups for mums and a separate one for dads and for carers of a child with PDA. They are a fantastic organisation and their services and voice are important for the SENd community on Kingston.

Their comedy evenings, sporting events, dramatherapy sessions and other such events have all proven successful and enjoyable, and that, along with many other reasons, is why I wish to vote for this organisation.

Such a great service and resource

As a resident and Councillor in Tolworth, I have witnessed firsthand the fantastic work Express CIC does to support people with autism. I have had the opportunity to meet with the two directors on several occasions, and their passion and dedication to improving the well-being of individuals with autism is truly inspiring. Express CIC not only provides regular drop-in sessions but also organises various events to support not just individuals with autism but also their families and carers. Over the years, the organisation has grown into a well-established and respected presence within the Kingston Borough. I am delighted to support the nomination of Express CIC for this well-deserved award.

Express CIC create a safe, welcoming and compassionate environment for families to thrive. Annette, Tracey and their volunteers have fostered a culture off respect, support and care in all of their services. They are an irreplaceable asset to their local community and surrounding areas.

I know the strengths of this small organisation and want to support them in any way I can.

welcoming inclusive and such a well thought through offer to suit different needs

For what they do in our community

As a Family Support Worker with Children's Services, they are always my first recommendation for families seeking guidance. Their courses, one-to-one support, and parenting resources make a significant difference in helping parents navigate challenges and build confidence.

When I was desperate and felt isolated and I found CIC Express I suddenly felt hope. The founders of CIC Express are inspirational and the work that CIC Express do is profoundly important to me and so many families with similar struggles. They are family to me.

For the support and education they provide for families

Provides much needed support and services for autistic people and their families. A whole range of activities including creative arts therapy, counselling service, peer support groups and clubs. Without Express CIC there would be no such support and services in the local Kingston community.

An amazing charity doing such good work. Deserves to be recognised.

Express CIC offers valuable services to the whole family. Their therapeutic support is innovative in the way it offers outreach support to children who would otherwise be unable to access support.

An amazing charity and volunteers.

A great local organisation. Lead by brilliant people.

My son was given a diagnosis of Autism by the NHS and then sent away with no support. Organisations like these are indispensable to families who are left to cope living with an Autistic child and offer support to the child themselves.

Known Tracey and Annette 20+ years. Care for families in crisis at times is exceptional. Dedicated, conscientious, welcoming, knwledgeable about many aspects of Autism, ADHD, many others. Larger premises needed to host some of many clubs, meetings etc they run. After many months detailing need for larger premises and approaching council several times they were refused. This small group needs to keep going. . . .

Express is a fantastic organisation offering much needed services and support to the local community!

Amazing support for my daughter

Express are always there to provide support when needed. This is so important as consistency is key and it means that there is always a helping hand when things go wrong. They provide a lifeline especially when there is nowhere and no one else to turn to. My family will always be grateful to Express CIC.

for the recognition of the outstanding work in their field, in promoting diversity and inclusion in all its forms

Express CIC has been providing support and signposting families and carers to useful resources for as long as we have known about them and before! From the time that we became aware that our son was on the spectrum they were there to hear us and validate how we felt. Despite there being so little support in our borough in the form of essential services for people with autism and their families, Express has tried valiantly to fill the gaps.

Amazing charity!

Express fill a much needed role in the support of autistic children, young people, and their families. They give opportunities for social development, creative development and emotional wellbeing of this client group, and essential emotional support to parents and carers.

They are fantastic and deserve the recognition. Good luck

I am impressed by the work that they do.

Amazing organisation! You are the best!!!

Express has been a support through an incredibly difficult period. Our son was diagnosed during Covid and then crashed out of school in burnout for 2 years before the local authority finally offered help. My husband and I have both accessed their counselling services to help us navigate a new landscape. In addition, the What’s app groups are a true lifeline. SEND parenting can be extremely isolating and like-minded friends in your phone are such a gift. As a result of the complexities of our lives, we find it difficult to meet people in real life who understand. Express helps us to feel more connected and hopeful. Although my own son is not able to access the provisions on offer, there are numerous offerings to support ASD young people. This small charity works tirelessly to meet need and enhance the lives of ASD young people and empower them to navigate a neurotypical world.

They have been a lifesaver. It can be so tough and lonely living with a child, especially diagnosed late, with autism and this group has provided the most amazing moral support and advice. Their workshops are invaluable and as a result it has given us tools to deal with our child who is now on a different path to what we expected. It is a relief to connect to a community, which they set up, to vent on really bad days and be given hope by others going through the same journey.

Express CIC is an amazing organisation who offer a lot of support to people with autism and their parents/ carers. I have spent some time volunteering with them and learnt a lot while there.

Express CIC represent the local autistic community with a determined and dogged resilience. They offer a wide range of support that pivots according to needs. Despite limited resources they fill an enormous need and gap in support, learning andinformation for children, young people and their families. More power to them.
